Rose
Rose and I met in Music Folk, in St. Louis. She is a Folkcraft dulcimer. One day I took her off the wall to try her out and as I strummed the first chord - she started singing to me. Every time I played even one note on her, she sang: "You are mine, I am yours. We belong together." It took me 3 whole months to give in - but I did.

Smokey
Smokey is my Boy Scout dulcimer. He was made by Tom Yocky's Boy Scout Troop. They built - I think it was 6 and sold them on E-bay to raise money for the Troop. Since I worked with the Scouts when my sons were members - well - Boy Scouts and dulcimers? I had to have it. Smokey was the first to find a home.

Kitty, Penny, and Destiny
Kitty is a Jenny Lind dulcimer kit that I won in the monthly contest on ED. I had to have some help with her as she was a made from scratch kit. Penny is my Gila Mountain. She is the first to come to me. And is still my primary dulcimer. Destiny is my Yocky. She came from a student whose hands just couldn't quite reach far enough. (She now has a Yocky Junior!) - E |
